TUROGE 2007
is co-organised by two respectful associations:

Turkish
Association of Petroleum Geologists (TPJD)
The
Association of Petroleum Geologists was founded by Enver Necdet
Egeran on August 2nd, 1958 in Ankara , on the tenth year of the
discovery of oil in the Raman Mountain in Southeast Turkey . This
period represented the first peak of exploration activities in Turkey
. During this time about 20 foreign petroleum companies were active
in Turkey . Later the association was entitled to the right of using
the prefix 'Turkish' following a Council of Ministers Decision and
became Turkish Association of Petroleum Geologists TAPG.

Chamber of Geophysical Engineers (JFMO)
The
Chamber of Geophysical Engineers of Turkey (CGET), the only geophysical
association of the country was established in 1986 and is a member
of the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects. It
has inherited the technical and scientific background of the Turkish
Geophysical Association, which was founded in 1961.
The
event is supported by:

Petroleum Pipeline Corporation - BOTAS
Botas, Petroleum
Pipeline Corporation was established as an affiliated company of
Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) on August 15, 1974 in order
to transport Iraqi crude oil to the Gulf of Iskenderun. In 1995,
the company was restructured as a State Economic Enterprise (SEE)
considering the company's task at present and in future.
Botas' business in transportation of crude oil by pipelines has
expanded to cover the natural gas transportation and trade activities
since 1987.
Hence,
the company has gained a trade company identity. Monopoly rights
of BOTAS on natural gas import, distribution, sales and pricing
under the Decree No. 397 have been abolished by the natural Gas
Market Law No 4646 that was enacted on May 2000. This initiates
the liberalized natural gas market in Turkey and BOTAS, having over
twenty seven years' experience in the business steps further and
accelerates the studies on re-structuring natural gas market in
the country.
