Turkish International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference, TUROGE
2006 took place on
the 28-29 March 2006 at the Bilkent Congress Centre.
TUROGE
2006 enjoyed full official support from the Ministry of Energy and
Natural Resources of Turkey, Turkish Petroleum AO (TPAO), BOTAS
Petroleum Pipeline Corporation, Turkish Association of Petroleum
Geologists (TPJD) and Chamber of Geophysical Engineers (JFMO) sponsored
by Chevron, Total and Fenwick Elliot.
The
Conference sessions provided a forum for the general discussion
of a variety of Caspian and Black Sea energy issues including analysis
of global and inter-regional Oil & Gas supply, demands and trends
and the establishment of viable and secure pipeline routes
from the Caspian region to world markets.
The
Conference also highlighted Turkey's potential for domestic oil
and gas exploration and production and the
development of co-operation between the oil industry and Government
in the exploration of Black Sea resources. Senior Representatives
of TPAO gave a detailed overview of the recent tender of licenses
for joint ventures on the exploration of deepwater blocks in the
Western and Central Black Sea .
