Turkey’s growing energy demands are estimated to rise from 53,000 to 100,000 megawatts by 2030. This growth, along with the country’s favorable geographical location as a transit hub for transporting oil and gas from Russia to the Caspian Region, and the Middle East to Europe, shows that the local oil and gas market is still lucrative for foreign investors.
The domestic energy sector is one of the most attractive investment areas in Turkey’s fast-developing economy. Newly planned infrastructure, including pipeline, ports and shipping services which will be developed over the next 20 years will significantly boost this sector, and create new business opportunities in the petrol and natural gas sectors.
